The Energy Act 2011 has major implications for commercial property with the Green Deal and the Private Rented Sector Regulations (PRSR) having the greatest impact. Once the PRSR is in force by no later than 1 April 2018 buildings must be raised to a minimum energy efficiency rating before they can be rented.
