The Money Laundering Regulations 2007 set out administrative requirements for the anti-money laundering regime within the regulated sector which includes estate agents requiring them to register with HMRC. Letting agents are excempt unless they are involved in property sales. Looks at how estate agents and letting agents must comply with the provision of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 including issues such as monitoring and reporting suspicious activity, managing risks, due diligence and carring out identity checks.
