Evaluates.the key clauses in British Standards Institution (BSI) revised "BS 5839-1:2017 Fire detection and fire alarm systems for building: Code of practice for design, installation commissioning and maintenance of systems in non-domestic premise" which considers changes to other major fire safety standards including BS EN 54 series for fire alarms and "BS 9991 for fire safety in commercial buildings". It includes additional guidance on multi-sensor detectors, false alarm reduction, new technology for fire detection and alarm systems.
