Five construction companies building the Channel Tunnel are prepared to stop work unless the dispute for additional costs is settled. Eurotunnel is refusing to increase the agreed sum under a lump-sum contract until claims for additional payment are submitted whilst contractors including TML insist they are unable to present detailed claims until completion. Eurotunnel is seeking an injunction to prevent TML from stopping work on the installation of a cooling system in the tunnels.
