The Electricity Council energy efficiency Beta Awards scheme is aimed at commercial buildings and public buildings that have saved energy by using electrical techniques. Looks at the recovery of heat from ice-rink refrigeration at Swindon`s Link Centre and conversion of a stable block into offices at Nimbus Records. Chester Zoo and Ilford Library were commended for energy saving ideas.
