A study of the home buying and selling process in the UK which reveals that: it typically takes eight weeks from acceptance of an offer on a property to exchange of contract; that well prepared buyers and sellers experience fewer delays; the typical cost of a transaction is £1 060 to the buyer and £1 400 to the seller; the process is inefficient; and that all parties more information should be offered in advance.
