Summary, etc. This consultation paper seeks comments on a draft planning policy statement three: "Housing" which together with accompanying guidance (currently being drafted) will in due course replace Planning Policy Guidance Note 3: "Housing" and Planning Circular 6/98 "Planning and affordable housing" (ISBN 0117534625). The purpose of this draft PPS is to provide a national policy framework for planning for housing. It sets out what is required at regional and local levels to deliver housing within sustainable communities. Responses are invited by 27 February 2006.
