Summary, etc. The average property value of an average property in England and Wales has risen 5.0% over the last 12 months from £154 568 to £162 304 this month. Over the past year the top performing regions by rising property values are the West Midlands (17.4%), the South East (11.3%) and Greater London (11.2%). For the third consecutive month rental yields remain at 6.0%. Regions with the highest yields are Wales (6.4%), the South West (6.3%) and the North West (6.3%). Total returns across the UK have reached 11.4% in November, up from 7.6% 12 months ago. Regionally the West Midlands (24.5%) tops the list in terms of overall returns over a 12-month period followed by the South East (17.6%) and Greater London (17.2%). Average rental incomes have eased slightly this month to £9 665. Regions leading the way are the South East (up 4.4%), the West Midlands (up 3.6%) and Greater London (up 3.5%). Graphs and tables.
