Following the 2006 Energy Review the UK government announced a number of proposals for changes to the RO. These changes would provide differentiated support levels to different renewables technologies and give additional certainty on long-term Renewable Obligation Certificate prices. The Government has already published an initial consultation document (L136213) which has expired. This document provides greater detail on the proposals, including timescales.
