Summary, etc. Finds that house price rises slowed in May, though buyer enquiries stabilised despite a rise in interest rates. Prices rose for the nineteenth consecutive month. 23.9% of surveyors reported a rise than a fall - down from 28.5% in April. New instructions to sell property increased at the fastest pace in the survey's history. This was likely due to a rush to avoid the cost of HIPs, which are now delayed. 39% of surveyors reported a rise in new instructions - up from 12% in April.
