However, a meaningful retreat in house prices should be avoided by two macro-economic drivers. These are a fall in the interest rate structure and a lack of significant failure in the employment market. Unemployed claim levels are at their lowest in thirty years. Acknowledges a significant fall in confidence towards the housing market among both the public and surveyors, despite a relatively positive economy.
