It is also intended to assist the parties themselves and those acting for them by making them aware of the procedures likely to be followed. However, the guidance should not be taken as a treatise on the law and practice of adjudication generally. This guidance note is based upon the law and practice in England and Wales. Readers should be aware that the law and practice in Scotland and Northern Ireland differ somewhat.
