Summary, etc. Draft Planning Policy Statement (PPS) seeks to define what constitutes an eco-town; environmental, social and economic standards eco-towns should meet and how eco-towns will relate to the planning system. Eco-towns will have at least 5 000 homes, make use of sustainable technologies, achieve excellence in build quality and public transport links. The attached consultation seeks to gather responses on the Draft PPS. Responses must be received by 19 February 2009.
