520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Reports on a research on the possible impact of a recession on the England regions. The research was carried out in October and November 2008. Estimates that the London region would be the most affected by a recession and the South-West the least. Cities outside London would be less affected. Shows that due to their recent growth, northern regions would face a recession better. The construction and manufacturing sectors would be hardly hit. Most jobs at risk would be in London and in the South East region. Suggests that devolution of economic decision-making to more local entities is one way of facing recession.
