Predicts that the UK economic recession will affect the construction industry up to mid 2010, followed by an increase of activity for the second part of that year. Not all sectors will be affected in a short term, as projects relying on public spending will continue. Employment levels are predicted to rise again from mid-2010 onwards, with employment forecast to increase by 2.9% in total over the period 2009-2013. In real terms output growth across the construction industry by 2013 will have increased by 3%. Compares the different construction sectors and provides forecasts for construction growth and employment prospects across the UK regions.
