Summary, etc. Joint consultation document from the Department for Energy and Climate Change and the Department of Communities and Local Government provides an overview on a 'whole industry' approach to heat and energy conservation in the United Kingdom. Looks at the policy steps taken to date as part of the move towards more efficient energy use and lower carbon emissions and introduces proposed changes to support the four main government aims in this area. These include reducing use, increasing use of renewables and lowering carbon emissions and the need to maintain secure and economically beneficial energy supplies for the United Kingdom.
