This 3rd edition represents a complete review of the 1997 edition and supersedes the 2nd edition. One of the primary changes from the 2nd edition is the use of survey accuracy band, which takes into consideration client requirements for scale independent metadata and digital data handling environments. This 3rd edition is effective from 8 December 2014.
