Summary, etc. NAO assessment of government efforts to release enough public land for 100 000 new homes by the end of 2014. Criticises the government for not providing supporting documentation for the target of 100 000 homes or how this was allocated to certain government departments. The disposal of the land for houses was slower than expected and government had to take action to increase land sales. However the government did dispose of enough land by March 2015 to build 109 590 homes but the DCLG provided a wide interpretation of the land that could be counted towards the target.
