Summary, etc. Research into the use of GNSS to monitor the deflections of bridges has been ongoing at the Universities of Nottingham and Brunel for well over 12 years. The work initially focussed on large bridges such as the Humber and Forth suspension bridges, but then also included the London Millennium Bridge as well as a 174m long motorway viaduct. The following paper brings the reader up to date with the work conducted more recently, including the monitoring of a cable stayed bridge in Korea, as well as two further large bridges in the UK.
