Summary, etc. A Health and Safety Executive initiative will target some of the biggest causes of ill-health and injury in construction. This initiative entitled 'healthy handling' will culminate in a series of inspections of construction sites throughout London and southeast England during March 2004. In 2003, 25% of major injuries in the construction industry were due to tripping or slipping while moving around sites.
