Summary, etc. A new study from DEFRA shows that diversification earnings in England exceeded £100 m for the first time. The "Farm business survey" also found that over half of full-time farmers have diversified and that average earnings in 2002/03 from diversification were £1 800 per farm, a rise of 30% on the previous year.
