Summary, etc. Dollar investors saw a 23.9% return last year compared to 3.4% for euro investors, according to the first results from IPD's consultative pan-European index. The impact of currency strength is shown by the fact that results were reversed in 2001, when dollar-dominated investors in Europe earned a 1.9% return and euro investors a 8.4% return. IPD has released the data to consult the industry on technical issues such as the method for estimating the size of investment markets, in order to release the full pan-European index in 2005.
