Summary, etc. The BRE has launched a £180 000 project aimed at providing the construction industry with more comprehensive guidelines on sustainable products. Last week the company began consultation on a review of its existing "Green guide", and hopes to publish the new guide by the end of 2005. It aims to use Life cycle assessment (LCA) to assess products - this approach compares the environmental impacts of various products, from raw materials to end of life.
