Bovis Lend Lease achieved seventh place in the monthly table with contracts totalling £68m whereas Laing O'Rourke lagged behind and didn't even manage to make it into the top 40. Shepherd topped the September 2004 league with contracts of £123m - £40m of that being a contract with supermarket giant Morrisons.
