The applicants challenged the Secretary of State`s demand that the housing association repay a grant made under Housing Associations Act 1985 s52(2)(c) because the buildings, for which the grant had been made, had to be demolished. The court accepted the applicant`s interpretation of "land" under this section as the site itself.
