Summary, etc. In Burgess v Stafford Hotel Ltd CA 27 February 1990 it was held that although there was no express provision in the Rules of the Supreme Court for striking out a notice of appeal , the CA did have an inherent jurisidiction to do so. Accordingly an appeal against the refusal of an application for a new tenancy was dismissed.
