Summary, etc. The idea of using redundant farm buildings as simple visitor accommodation led the Countryside Commission and Yorkshire Dales National Park to set up an experiment. There are now five bunkhouse barns in the Dales and one in the North Yorks Moors. A farmer`s wife gives an account of her experiences. The income has helped keep the farm viable and management has presented few problems.
