Summary, etc. The UK high street fashion group Arcadia has launched a cyber shopping mall called Zoom (http://www.zoom.co.uk). UK retailers have been slow to move into electronic commerce. Of the top 100 UK retailers only 47 have websites, and only 14 allow customers to buy goods. However the retail consultancy Verdict predicts that online sales to UK customers will rise from £406m in 1998 (0.21% of all retail business) to £6.1bn in 2003(2.5%), and that fashion will be the largest segment.
