The guidance, Planning for telecommunication accompanies the Town and County Planning (General Permitted Development) (Amendment) Order 1999, which will give people more time to comment on proposals for ground-based telecommunications masts under permitted development rights and stronger planning controls in Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), which will come into force on 9 July 1999.
