Summary, etc. The government has announced the revised Assisted Areas Map, which sets out the areas of Great Britain which will qualify for regional investment grants to help industry. Four areas will get Tier One assistance offering grants of up to 40% on investment and EU Objective One status: Cornwall, Merseyside, South Yorkshire and West Wales & the Valleys. There will be a new third tier of Enterprise grant areas in England, and £45m dedicated to small businesses over the next three years.
