Starling v Lloyds Bank plc. CA 29 October 1999. In October 1980 the claimant granted the defendant bank legal charge on a property. In 1991the claimants wife died and S then tried to sell the property. It was not sold and in 1992 S met with L to discuss his financial situation. L refused to consider S's suggestion of leasing the property, so S issued proceedings for breach of duty of care. Held, appeal allowed. |
