Summary, etc. A one day seminar "Telecoms- the future" covering a range of issues relating to the telecommunications industry was held at the RICS on 5 April 2001. Sponsored by the RICS Commercial Property Faculty and the Corporate Occupiers Group, it was attended by over 150 chartered surveyors, representing the supply and demand side of the telecommunications industry. A number of issues were discussed including the Telecommunications Act, planning, health and safety, site location and acquisition, and rents and training requirements within the industry.
