520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The RICS Housing Market Survey for the three months to May depicts a buoyant housing market despite negative economic forecasts, foot and mouth and a properties shortage. House price increases were highest in East Anglia, Yorkshire and Humberside with London recording the strongest price increases in over a year. Competition between mortgage lenders and a fall in interest rates has helped boost the market.
