Summary, etc. The Employment Bill has been introduced in Parliament and aims to support working parents, reduce red tape for employers, and make it easier to settle disputes in the workplace. Measures will give mothers up to a year off work, recognise the rights of fathers and adoptive parents to get time off work, and help business by simplifying rules governing maternity, paternity and adoption leave and pay. The Employment Bill is available at: http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200102/cmbills/044/2002044.htm.
