520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. RICS economists forecast a 6% rise in house prices in 2002, compared with 10% in 2001. Economic growth in the UK is expected to slow to 1.8% in 2002, from 2.3% in 2001, but it is anticipated that low interest rates will protect home-owners from the difficult economic climate. The current slowdown will continue in the early part of the year but the market is expected to pick up in the early summer.
