Summary, etc. The TUC has joined forces with the Campaign for Corporate Accountability to launch, on the 30 January 2002, a campaign to improve safety standards in the workplace. Amongst proposals are legally binding safety duties upon individual company directors, a new law on corporate killing, a substantial increase in the number of health and safety inspectors, and higher fines and more innovative penalties for breaches of health and safety law.
