Summary, etc. Looks at the problems and causes of condensation laying most blame on poor ventilation caused by decline in the use of chimneys, lack of extractor fans in kitchens and bathrooms and the trend towards double glazing for thermal insulation . A mechanical solution is described produced by Flow Engineering called Flowvent which extracts air from the wet areas of the house, passes it through a heat exchanger and exhausts it through the roof.
