Summary, etc. Looks at a number of coastal flood defence schemes in light of the increased possibility of flooding from global warming. Discusses the work done at Abbots Hall Farm where the Environment Agency and Essex Wildlife Trust are undertaking a project of managed retreat or managed realignment on the Essex coast. Two other projects discussed are; sea defences on the Humber where Scarborough Borough Council has used Accropodes to provide a form of armour against the sea and the River Severn at Bewdley where the EA used dismountable defences imported from Germany.
