Summary, etc. The latest ODPM four yearly survey of primary aggregates showed that total sales of primary aggregates produced in England and Wales in 2001 were 192.9m tonnes, of which 59% were crushed rock and 33% were land worn sand and gravel and 8% marine dredged sand and gravel.
