Summary, etc. The Halifax House Price Index for June 2003 shows house prices rising by 0.6% in June, 7.1% in the first six months of 2003 and an annual change of 21.9%. The standardised average house price (seasonally adjusted) is £130 312. The north/south divide in house prices has become pronounced within the last 12 months - top increase of 36.4% in northern England and London slipping to the bottom with only 11.5%.
