Summary, etc. The Environment Agency has published its fifth annual report on good and bad environmental behaviour by businesses in England and Wales. "Spotlight on business environmental performance 2002" reveals the waste industry as the most frequent polluter whilst the construction industry, farming and the metals sector have shown the most significant reductions in pollution incidents. Overall, serious pollution incidents were down by 21%.
