Summary, etc. The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has issued a consultation document "A force for our future" on the future of Historic Environment Records, the mainly local government based information rsources on the archaeological and historic sites of an area. These were previously known as Sites and Monuments Records. The document seeks views on the way in which we access heritage information. Responses should be sent in by 31 October 2003 to Eve Trueman, Architecture and Historic Environment Division, Department for Culture, Media and Sport 2-4 Cockspur Street, London SW1Y 5DH.
