Looks at the role of the Sustainable Urban Drainage Scottish Working Party. CIRIA's "Sustainable urban drainage systems: design manual for Scotland and Northern Ireland" (ISBN 0860175219) provides a framework agreement for SUDS adoption which is complemented by the PAN61 which provides practical advice for planners and developers. The Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Act 2003 which received Royal Assent in March 2003 but it not yet in force will provide construction and vesting conditions for all SUDS in Scotland.
