Appellant claimant (R) sought to recover from the defendant tenants C and others under the sublease sums due in respect of the period prior to the date that R took possession. R appealed against County Court decision that in taking possession of the property and gaining a new sublease had brought to an end the sublease prior to R's obtaining title to the headlease on registration.
