The Energy Act 2004 strengthens the UK's bid to generate more energy from renewable sources - the government target is of providing 10% of the country's renewable energy needs from renewable sources by 2010. It also provides the framework for the establishment of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority to manage the decommissioning of the UK's nuclear legacy.
