Summary, etc. Reports on "Schilling v Canary Riverside Development" (Leasehold Valuation Tribunal, 3 May 2005,), a landmark Leasehold Valuation Tribunal (LVT) case in which the tenants of residential blocks successfully disputed their landlord's claim to recover legal fees under the service charge provisions of the lease. The LVT held that if a tenant's liability were unclear under a lease then the wording would be construed against the landlord.
