Summary, etc. The introduction of Home Information Packs in June 2007 will be restricted to searches and energy performance information (Energy Performance Certificates). However Home Condition Reports (HCRs) will be phased in on a market-led basis in the first instance in order to ensure a smooth implementation with clear consumer benefits. The latest information casts doubts on the industry's readiness to deliver HCRs by June 2007, in particular the availability of sufficient numbers of qualified home inspectors to produce them. Mandatory introduction of HCRs remains on the table.
