Summary, etc. A survey of 465 UK construction professionals by KPMG reveals that the industry is not ready for the new Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). Nearly seven out of 10 respondents expressed concern about operating the new CIS, over 60% thought it would be more difficult to operate than the current system, over 50% revealed their employees were not sufficiently trained on the new CIS, and less than 10% had forwarded information to their subcontractors.
