The case concerned the compulsory purchase of a field by W from the petitioner's father. When the land was deemed surplus to requirements it was offered to F for repurchase under the Crichel Down rules. F had challenged the W's decision to impose conditions to the sale relating to the time scale of purchase and the agreed price.
