To compensate for this the price is commonly set at the amount that the value of the property would be when the lease expires. The Lands Tribunal ruled that a deferment rate of 5% should apply to flats irrespective of their location. Explains that this, in tandem with the Arbib case (L131346) represents a decision in favour of leaseholders.
